Braces!

Hey guys, It’s your girl TJC here and today I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is that I have to get four of my teeth extracted, this is because I have too many teeth in my mouth 😩.  So after I get my teeth extracted I am going to have braces fitted. I will have my retainers fitted on the 4th of March 2019.  

I have been on the waiting list for a very long time - about two years, so I’m happy to get the process started. 

The good news is that my school has given me a Spring challenge. It’s a bunch of activities that have to be completed by the Easter half term break. We get to choose three activities. I will talk you through the three that I have chosen. 

The three that I will be doing are: read an autobiography about someone who inspires me, the second one is to cook an entire meal for the family and the third one is to take some clothes to a clothes bank.


The inspirational autobiography I have chosen to read is entitled “Hope in a Ballet Shoe” by Michaela DePrince.  So far this has been an interesting read and I am looking forward to reading the whole story.

Competition time!

On Sunday 26 of August, I went to the Dell stadium to compete in an athletic competition. My events were high jump and the 100m sprint. This was the first time I had done high jump in a competition, ever!  I managed to jump  1metre 20, not bad for a first attempt.  Moving on to the 100 m sprint, I have competed in many sprints, so I was looking forward to this event.  I got off to a good start but for some annoying reason I slowed down, so this wasn't my best race. My personal best in the 100 metres so far is 15.56 seconds, which I ran at Tipton on August 17th 2018. With determination and practice, I'm hoping to run 100 metres in 15 seconds within the next few months. Speak soon TJC

Quick update

Hey guys, just a quick note to let you know I have my braces on.  These are only temporary.  I'll be wearing them for about eight weeks before I get my actual brace fitted. What do you think?

Dubai!!

Wow, what a week I’ve had. On Sunday the 28th of October, I left England for a holiday to Dubai. My mother, God Mother, God sister – Maya and my aunty, all met at Heathrow Airport, we were due to fly from Heathrow with Emirates airline all the way to Dubai! It was a seven-hour flight and Emirates are a fabulous airline.  https://www.emirates.com The food was great, the movies were great, the staff were very friendly and the female flight attendants wore a very interesting looking hat. My mom said it was one of the best flights she’s ever been on. We finally landed in Dubai, once we cleared customers and collected our luggage we made our way outside and boy was it hot, yay!
