Going to London

On the 29 of August, my mother, my godmother and my godmother's two nieces went to London for the day. Getting on the train at New Street Station, Birmingham The reason for our visit was to watch Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre. https://www.thesavoytheatre.com/ We got to London early, so we walked along the river Thames and the Southbank.   We all needed to go to the toilet, so we went into the restroom at The Savoy Hotel, they were very posh!   We even saw Micheal Jackson on the Thriller bus☺. Then it was time for the main event DREAM GIRLS!!!  The show was awesome.  My favourite part was when Effie White sang "I am telling you, I'm not going"  I don't know where she got the energy from, it was amazing and she got a standing ovation. By the end of the show, we were all really hungry so my godmothers two nieces and I went to Nandos, while the grown-ups went to eat next door at Wahaca  https://www.wahaca.co.uk/ Everyone enjoyed their meal as usu

Competition time!

On Sunday 26 of August, I went to the Dell stadium to compete in an athletic competition. My events were high jump and the 100m sprint. This was the first time I had done high jump in a competition, ever!  I managed to jump  1metre 20, not bad for a first attempt.  Moving on to the 100 m sprint, I have competed in many sprints, so I was looking forward to this event.  I got off to a good start but for some annoying reason I slowed down, so this wasn't my best race. My personal best in the 100 metres so far is 15.56 seconds, which I ran at Tipton on August 17th 2018. With determination and practice, I'm hoping to run 100 metres in 15 seconds within the next few months. Speak soon TJC

My Summer Holidays Continue

Welcome back to my blog. On Tuesday I met up with one of my primary school friends and we went into West Bromwich - New Square to do a bit of shopping and have something to eat.  We started off at Kaspers the new dessert shop in West Bromwich.  I had a chocolate chip cookie dough dessert, it was delicious.  Then it was time to hit the shops.  We ended up in Primark, where I bought a really cool jumper. On Wednesday my mother and I ended up back in New Square in West Bromwich to have something to eat, we decided to go to Nando's. It was the first time my mum realised I was too old for the kids' menu, YESSSS!!!!.  So I ended up having chicken wings and fries, Nando's always gets it right! Thursday was "hair wash day" not my favourite thing to do but it has to be done.  Actually, it's my mum who washes my hair, whilst I just moan - sorry mum.  My mum used Bentonite clay to cleanse and treat my hair,  She mixes it up herself using Bentonite clay powder, wa

Introducing TJ

Hi, my name is TJ and I'm 11 years old.  Welcome to my blog - Growing up with TJ.  In my blog I'll take you on a journey through my life, discussing what I enjoy, what I don't like, what I love, places I've been, people I've met and all the stuff in-between. It is an exciting time for me as I'm starting secondary school in September.  I'm feeling nervous as I heard it's a strict school with uniform and stationary checks! However, I am looking forward to meeting new people.  I'm also lucky because a lot of my friends from primary school are going there. I can't wait to keep you updated on my journey through secondary school. Here are some of the things I do in my spare time: 1) Athletics, I am a member of Halesowen Athletics Club and I train every Monday and Tuesday.  My ambition is to be a world class sprinter.  My inspirations are Shelly-Ann Fraser, Dena Asher-Smith and Usain Bolt. I'm currently in training for a competition at the Del
